Welcome
Welcome to the King's College Hospital Limb Reconstruction Trust website
In November 2011 our recent Cake n Book sale achieved a record £1,552 but these inspiring days have a very important reason. Pictured here is our limb reconstruction patient who was recently involved in a high impact crash resulting in over 200 fractures and is now under the care of our limb reconstruction team. He was obviously in much discomfort but was very keen to talk to us and is very grateful for all the hard work that is being carried out by the team to correct his injuries. By helping our charity in even a small way i.e. by buying an event ticket, raffle ticket or supporting us we can help to improve the lives of the individuals who go through very prolonged and challenging treatments:

The King’s College Hospital Limb Reconstruction Trust (KCHLRT) is a registered charity founded in 2007 to support patients of the hospital's limb reconstruction unit. Among its trustees are specialist surgeons and nurses, other professionals and former patients. It was set up to:
- support medically, physically, psychologically and socially King’s College Hospital patients undergoing limb reconstruction treatment;
- increase awareness about disability and to change attitudes to it.
We are the only charity that caters for the specialist needs of limb reconstruction patients.
This website is for information only. We cannot provide opinions or treatment unless a patient has been referred by a GP.
Patient Adrian Heathfield (pictured) achieved his greatest ambition of swmming 1500m across Dover Harbour. More.
