Physiotherapy advice for patient having limb reconstruction is a new booklet available for you to download or print from this website. It gives essential physiotherapy advice for patients, such as how to relieve muscle tightness, joint stiffness, swelling and a host of other suggestions and recommendations for patients. You will also find contact details for Helen Ridler, the senior physiotherapist in limb reconstruction, Debbie Bond, the clinical nurse specialist, and the Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS), a service that offers support, information and assistance to patients, relatives and visitors.

Two further booklets are also available, more specifically aimed at physiotherapist working with limb reconstruction patients:

Guidance for the physiotherapy management of patients with fractures stabilised by a circular ring fixator, and
Guidance for the physiotherapy management of patients undergoing limb reconstruction (lengthening) surgery
are available for download or printing.

Our Newsletter no 2, which focuses on our physiotherapist Helen Ridler, can be seen here.
