The only charity that caters for the specialist needs of limb reconstruction patients

Adrian to swim across Dover Harbour for KCH LRT

Adrian Heathfield, a patient at King's, will be swimming 2000 metres front crawl in Dover Harbour during the Dover Regatta in July 2011. What makes this extra special is that Adrian will be swimming while wearing his Taylor Spatial frame.

He hopes to raise money for the trust from well-wishers and supporters donating to his JustGiving page.

"Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure," said Adrian. "Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity."

Whilst recovering from a previous fracture, Adrian suffered a grade 3 compound fracture, which required the fitting of a Taylor Spatial frame. You can read Adrian's story here, and click here if you wish to donate to his JustGiving site.
