A limb reconstruction awareness day combined with Christmas nibbles and a raffle draw filled the Atrium on 23rd December 2011. We are looking for some ideas/support for further fundraising events. If you would like to hold an event for us (e.g. small sales, sponsored events, etc. then please do not hesitate to contact us. Many children come to the stalls we hold and here we see these young ladies who live local to King’s and full of Christmas spirit.

The KCH raffle was drawn at 4pm by Trustees Graeme Groom, Co-Chair Sarah Phillips, Debbie Bond and Karen Sherris

Mark Phillips our Founder Chair and Trustee was on hand to support limb reconstruction Friend Laval before operating the same afternoon

And the winners of the KCH LRT raffle were as follows:
1st prize of a computer laptop went to Mrs M Sullivan who is going to send a photograph of her surfing our website.
2nd prize of a dinner service went to Kara who works in X-ray at King’s
3rd prize was a Christmas cake both made and iced by Mrs Irma Phillips who works in Orthopaedic Admissions and graced the table of a couple in Bexley, Kent.
4th prize of a bottle of champagne was won by J Elusoju of Camberwell.
5th prize - our Limb Reconstruction Nurse, Deborah Bond, made a Christmas hamper and this was won by Hafiz Mustafaey.
6th prize went to Mohamed Akbar who received a set of Christmas cards handmade by Lesley Harris.
The frame on our limb reconstruction patient shown here was applied a few weeks ago and it is quite daunting for him to think of coping with it on over the Christmas period.

Many of the patients are transported home by hospital transportation and ambulance or some depending on the location of the frame can help to support themselves with crutches, as shown here.
All the patients that we greet are very thankful to the limb reconstruction team for their excellence, dedication and kindness to them whilst they have undergone limb reconstruction treatment. It is so important to us and them that we continue to help them for the reasons why this charity was set up. Please help if you can.
